letterpress shop. lunalux.

while in minneapolis i hit up lunalux - one of the best little letterpress studios/shops I ever did see! my sister had her wedding invitations made there in june of 2010, but i thought i would stop by with my bf to browse their newest selection. some of the standouts were the "suck it portland" notebook and the minnesota tea towels. we walked away with a couple souvenirs perfect for mario's mom (a printmaker herself). if you get the chance, give this place your business (and then pop next door to nick & eddie for some grub).

three sheets thursday. if the weather in austin wasn't enough (72 and sunny in the beginning of january), the cafes, shops and bars made this city AMAZING. one of our favorite stops was jo's coffee on south congress. jo's is a true hipster hangout with an outdoor seating area (perfect for people watching and sunbathing), great coffees and a plethora of organic food products. oh, and having an iced coffee in the first days of 2012 - priceless.

2011. a second a day for 365 days.

madeline further proves to us that you don't have to be a filmmaker to make a good video. just using her canon powershot, she documented a second of every day from 2011 and compiled them chronologically over LCD soundsytem's, "all my friends." she wanted to document her move to LA as well as show the importance of being inspired by the mundane.
