Hey! I noticed the other day that we are still getting some visitors to P&B. Which is super amazing! A little update - we are [hoping] to take our magazine MOOD to print! Help us out on Kickstarter. If you pledge $25 you get a copy of issue 2.
Now, go forth and pledge your little hearts out!

In case you hadn't noticed...

We aren't really posting anymore here at P&B. This year has been a big one full of lots of changes and we have ended up neglecting our poor blog. We still don't have a clear plan of what the future holds for P&B, but we are excited about working on some projects individually in the meantime. I'm working on a new blog and spending a lot of time on MOOD magazine.
Lindsey is back in Minnesota for now and Katie has moved to LA. Looking forward to seeing what the both of them accomplish in the next year!

MOOD issue 1 / september 2012.

I have finally finished the first issue of MOOD - a magazine about music and food. We had 5 contributors for this issue, who I cannot thank enough for their great work. For me, it was a major feat of design, as I designed the whole thing on my own (with the help of Mario's brilliant eyes). Mario had his first go at writing in English since school, and we collaborated on the photography front. It's been about 6 months of work to lead up to this, so I am very proud. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Coffeeklatch.
Coffeeklatch is a goldmine of "creative chitchats" from a duo based in Belgium. They enter young entrepreneurs' homes and discover what the working and/or living spaces of these successful artists, architects, designers, etc. The photography is gorgeous and the concept is very inspiring. The site is also very well done. Basically, we like it all.

Can you fathom it?

Fathom is a recent discovery that I am absolutely obsessed with. It is like a travel blog, but actually so much more. The site consists of what appears to be hundreds of contributors - photographers, writers, travelers - and delivers perfect little city guides for your favorite 30 or so destinations worldwide (and I imagine that the number is growing frequently). You can also browse the site by why you travel - like, for the thrill, culture, quirk, romance etc.
I will definitely be using anything I find about Japan for my upcoming trip this fall. Happy travels!

MPLS jewelry.
A freaking cute photo.

Is this not one of the cutest photos you've ever laid your eyes on? It is being featured as part of an exhibition at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris of actress/photographer Charlotte Ramplings "secret" images over the years.

Obsessed with OCC.
Any way you want to put it, the make up industry has been full of animal cruelty and it's refreshing to find products out there trying to make a difference. Not only is Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics changing the way we think about make up, but they are offering products that are sure to please everyone.

I was also surprised that the color palate of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics' products were as vibrant and trendy as any other popular make up line out there. Dare I say as vibrant as MAC? or NARS? Plus saying you have lip tar on the ol' kisser just sounds badass.

Inflated/Deflated.
Inflated Deflated is a project/etsy shop of three chicagoans taking sentiments and hand painting them onto balloons. The balloons come in an array of colors and are 10 bucks. Here are some of our faves (even though it was really hard to choose!)
